The WiiSmile employee benefits platform has received an investment of more than 70 million euros which will make Eurazeo the majority shareholder of the company. WiiSmile’s existing investor, NextStage AM, said it plans to reinvest some of the proceeds from the sale and will retain its minority stake in the company.
In business for just over 20 years, WiiSmile aims to provide small and medium-sized businesses with the same benefits often reserved for much larger organizations, including travel services, discounted tickets to entertainment and sporting events, and a reimbursement program for recreational or cultural activities and personal services. .
Over those two decades, WiiSmile reports working with over 8,500 companies and, by extension, providing benefits to well over 100,000 employees, and in 2021 generated an ARR of approximately €18 million.
With this acquisition, Eurozeo aims to accelerate the acquisition of WiiSmile customers as well as to stimulate the development of new services, new partnerships and acquisitions of specialized players.
“Eurazeo’s investment in WiiSmile is another important step in accelerating the growth and development of our business as we move further down the path we have been following with passion for more than 20 years: giving access to MSME owners and their employees to all the benefits and services considered the exclusive prerogative of large companies”, commented the CEO of WiiSmile, Sylvain Bianchini.
